Taking summer holidays doesn’t mean going into debt or even unearthing your passport. There are plenty of exciting places right here on the British Isle that will make for fine holiday fare even in the cold of winter holidays season as well. Even close by and familiar places take on a whole new air about them when you visit as a tourist on holiday rather than as a local trudging off to work. Just the change in scenery is holiday enough for some but when you couple a holiday week with a holiday season magical things can happen.

How about Christmas in the English countryside. Shopping in quaint little village shoppes and dining at stately centuries old inns and Manor houses could be quiet a pleasant holiday change from the hustle of the city. And for you country folk, New Years in London could be exhilarating, what with shopping at Harrods, exploring explore the museums, historical sights in a relaxed atmosphere knowing your five star accommodations are but a carriage ride away.

And since you’ve no airfare to eat up holiday funds you can shop a little bit more and eat fine food at grand restaurants a few times more than if you had a large airline bill attached to your last minute at home holiday. The same fun, less money and close to hope, perfect.
